Intro to Monotypes at the Creative Side Academy

Instructor: Cheryl Finfrock

Saturdays April 5-19, 2-6pm

A monotype is a one of a kind, a unique piece of artwork. It is the

simplest form of printmaking, requiring only pigments, a surface on

which to apply them, paper and some form of press. During this

introductory class we will explore the basic techniques and create

small works on a petite Italian Press. Although a painterly technique,

creating monotypes differs from painting in a variety of ways.

Each class will consist of instruction and creation time.

Sharing ideas and experimenting are encouraged!
